For those of you who have never seen it before, we dug up this footage shot in Waterville, Maine in 1985; 5 months before LL Cool J‘s debut album Radio was released.

It truly is a piece of Hip Hop history – a 17-year-old LL Cool J showcasing & honing his skills in a school gymnasium (along with DJ Cut Creator who definitely still needed the practice) and explaining to the good people of Waterville what this thing called Hip Hop is all about.
