This Day In Hip Hop: 27 Years Ago

Released 27 years ago today: Eazy E “Eazy Duz it”

056-1988

Eazy-Duz-It is the debut album of Eazy-E, released on September 13, 1988, through both Ruthless and Priority Records. The production was done by Dr. Dre and DJ Yella, lyrics were written primarily by The D.O.C., Ice Cube, and MC Ren, making Eazy-Duz-It very much a N.W.A. group effort.

The album went double Platinum in the United States despite minimal promotion by radio and television.

Eazy-Duz-It ranks #12 on HHGA’s Top 30 Albums Of 1988.
